Grade 2 English Language Arts

Welcome to Wikispaces Grade 2 teachers! This is a beginning point as we collaborate on developing and sharing our classroom ideas, resources, assessments, curriculum supports, and so much more! Think of it as "one your stop shopping" store where all the best ideas can be found!
Any teacher who is interested in adding to our page must first have a wikispaces account (it is free!). Then you can choose, Join this Wiki, option. An email will be sent to the wiki "manager" (one of the coaches), who will give you permission to become a member. Members can then add their own material to share.

I have used this template to create booklets for my students to create word family collages. Shared by Amber Thompson (Outlook Elementary, 2010)
This unit was shared by Dawne Toner at Springwater Colony. Dawne's notes: "I developed this last year and modified to fit my Grade 1-3 classes. You can adapt any way you like as I divided it into chapters. I did one at the beginning of the year and used the other chapters later on.
The students liked the idea of drawing their own pictures in the areas I provided for them."
